How to 'really' Live on Earth: a reflection on inspiration and action

Inspiring films about the Earth healing awaken our essence. Yet, sharing a link online traps our agency in a digital Skinner box. Break the trance. Apply your innate skills directly to the dirt of your local ecology to garden real, systemic wealth.

Beyond the Economic Fairy Tale: How to Step Out of the Matrix and Return to the Dirt

Exhausted by trading your life force for "survival tokens" in a broken economic fiction? You do not have to fight the failing matrix. Step out of the trance, return to the dirt, and reclaim your agency by rebuilding local feedback loops and gardening real, living wealth.

You Reading This, Be Ready (William Stafford)

You Reading This, Be Ready by William Stafford0:00/84.7673751× Starting here, what do you want to remember? How sunlight creeps along a shining floor? What scent of old wood hovers, what softened sound from outside fills the air? Will you ever bring a better gift for the world

Regenerative Client Meeting Prep with AI

Preparing to meet with a potential client, I confront my default urge to play the "expert" in the face of their $300k lease hazard. Step into the role of the silent Witness and explore the intense "leg day" of regenerative thinking to evoke true self-determination.

The Ocean's Changing Currents: A Living Systems View

When facing the terrifying math of failing global ocean currents, existential dread can physically paralyse us. But living systems show us that complex systems do not just vanish; they contract. Reclaim your agency by returning to the dirt to garden real, systemic wealth in your local ecology

Reflections

How stupid are you? I wisely thought

My stupidity had got me by the balls and I began to chuckle. I then went cross-eyed with confusion and began to role-play in my head. How can I be so stupid and so wise? Am I intelligent? What a stupid question!

Tripping for the Real: Breaking the Mechanical Trance

I constantly battle the mechanical trance of the extractive grind. To do real work in the dirt, I need ruptures. Yet in professional spaces, the profound catalysts that shatter illusions—from psychedelics to meditation—are treated as taboo. It is time I changed the temperature.

The Global Collapse is a Local Contraction: A Systems View

This hyper-connected world is a mere flicker in human history. When the mechanical trance breaks, the existential dread of its failure can be paralysing. But what if we stop trying to save the dying global machine and return to the dirt to build real wealth in our local ecologies?

"Hi Chat!" - Discovering the Regenerative Media Content Creator Role

The architecture of how we are informed has mutated. If we just add more "good stories" to the media stream, we act as a pollutant. How do we reclaim the Regenerative Media Content Creator role to disrupt the mechanical trance and generate the capacity for real, localised agency?

"I want to be a real boy": AI vs my Human Biosensor

To break my growing dependency on AI and get off my iPhone, I must step out of the Land of Toys, drop the formatory storying, and reclaim my biological hardware. By using media as a diagnostic Coyote mirror rather than an extractive Zombie maker, I can become fully human.

Generating Wealth in Our Local Ecologies: How You Can Catalyse a Paradigm Shift

Wealth isn't a static object to hoard; it is an in-dwelling ability to generate what is needed. Step out of the mechanical trance. Show up as a 'friend in life' to help your local ecology discover its own capacity to regenerate.

Singing to the Land

Caught in a mechanical trance, I realised I do not know how to sing to the land. What does it mean to step out of disenchantment and tune into the living ecology of my place? Join me as I explore the spontaneous joy of deep reciprocity and discover how to enchant land once again.

What is a Developmental Community? An alternative perspective

Most 'communities' are simply classrooms in disguise. A true developmental community does not exist to build capability; it exists exclusively to evolve capacity. It is not an institution I join, but an ecology I curate to hold the supreme hazard of my own life.

What is Living Currency?

The Grey World conditions us to hoard the King's Coin. But true wealth isn't found in dollars or pixels. Living Currency is a high-velocity, non-transactional exchange of value that bypasses World 48 entirely. Discover how relational connection generates multiplicative value.

#4 Navigating

What if the Four Noble Truths aren't just for diagnosing suffering, but a navigational tool for discovering your unique path? In this log, I map the truths to the "Law of Three," exploring how our suffering is the exact somatic marker needed to actualise potential and develop a non-grasping mind.

Whakahaumanu i a Waiheke

This End-State Image is Waiheke Island's realised potential, spoken through eight locals. This wasn't a sterile corporate consultation. I listened for the living island breathing beneath their words. This is what I heard. Ultimately, the island speaks for itself.

#3 Risk

I reflect on the intellectual traps of reading groups and the power of entering the "freak-out zone." By intentionally introducing financial constraints—like cutting up my credit card to manually manage the King's Coin—I am using raw friction to transform energy and choose flow over force.

Tuning

Sleep (Nan Shepherd)

To truly know the mountain, one must sleep on it. As the mind uncouples in sleep, the body melts away, leaving only pure perception. Awakening naturally outdoors reveals a raw, intimate fusion between the tangible physical world and the true self.

#1 Tuning the Senses

I am actively tuning my senses—through music, cooking, and the smell of essential oils—to step out of the mechanical world and into the raw reality of World 12. Like Nan Shepherd in the Scottish mountains, I am discovering that true aliveness is found in the physical dirt and the quiet hum of joy.

Rain (Hone Tuwhare)

As senses shut down in the Bardo, Tuwhare captures this exact physical dissolution. Pure World 12 physics, his poem bypasses the intellect to speak directly to the skin, the earth, and our elemental return to water.

High Country Weather (James K Baxter)

Baxter, a Charnel Ground yogi of Aotearoa, offers a direct transmission of Vairagya (Dispassion). Anchoring our "Essential Aloneness" in the stark beauty of the Southern Alps, the poem is a Sovereign instruction: drop the heavy armor, release the "Knot of Dread," and let go.

Let the Silence Speak

Lineage

Ask me (William Stafford)

A perfect diagnostic mirror for World 12. It removes the "Knot of Dread" regarding our past failures and places them objectively in the silent, unjudging reality of the river.

Lineage

The way it is (William Stafford)

The ultimate anchor for the Great Unfolding. It is the Sovereign’s refusal to drop the burning wheel, no matter how the external world degrades.

Contemplating My Death

Contemplating my Death0:00/231.8891× We all die. The elements of our body will eventually surrender and return to the dirt. But where do we go? Nowhere. As we move closer to the transition, when the machine of the body finally loses the condition to live... where do we
